We have an exciting opportunity for a Health Economics and Reimbursement Manager to join our team to lead and grow Cook’s value-based healthcare and reimbursement activities in the UK and Ireland. This role will focus on market access by shaping projects and creating user-friendly models and value tools to deploy to external customers while partnering with the health economics team, the commercial team, and other functions. This person will collaborate with peers and internal stakeholders to advise on clinical/health economic studies as well as identify and contribute to the development of new business opportunities.  This role will also serve as the primary source of reimbursement support for the sales divisions and customers and will actively monitor changes in the healthcare system, clinical guidelines and regulations.


The successful candidate will demonstrate strong communication, collaboration, and project management skills. The person will bring an analytical mindset and data-based approach to create value tools in order to translate value claims into quantitative/health-economic models.   • Develop and demonstrate unsurpassed understanding of the UK health care systems – including funding and reimbursement systems for inpatient and outpatient.
  • Partner closely with multiple functions, including sales divisions, health economics, R&D, clinical, and marketing, advancing the market access strategy for new and existing technologies in cooperation with the divisions. 
  • Develop economic value propositions and communication strategy relevant to the UK and Ireland health systems and policy drivers. Communicate the value messaging through bespoke business cases, value tools and other tools to support business and reimbursement discussions with local decision makers.
  • Create and utilize different health economics models (i.e. budget impact models, cost-effectiveness models) to communicate the public health impact and economic value of Cook technologies to clinical and non-clinical stakeholders, such as payers and providers.
  • Interact regularly and effectively with external customers to assist with describing the value proposition and models.
  • Serve as the primary source of UK reimbursement and market access support for the sales divisions and customers and provide input for decisions for early product development and support throughout the entire product lifecycle.
  • Oversee reimbursement applications and facilitate the successful reimbursement of Cook technologies in UK.
  • Stay updated and provide input to health technology assessments (HTA), clinical guidelines, UK and Ireland regulations and policy issues while sharing with internal stakeholders as needed.
  • Be a strategic partner to local business managers in support of commercial objectives.
  • Work with the relevant KOLs, medical societies, and other key national and regional stakeholders.
  • Be an active member in relevant trade association working groups.



  • Advanced graduate degree (Ph. D. or Master's Degree) in health economics or related field preferred.
  • Previous health economics, market access, and/or reimbursement experience (5+ years) within a pharmaceutical or medical device company preferred.
  • Previous experience in governmental healthcare administration and/or in hospital administration preferred. Be familiar with hospital reimbursement systems and have a strong interest in the medical field.
  • Advanced project management skills with proven success to prioritise and manage simultaneous projects to completion.
  • Demonstrated ability to work effectively individually as well as in teams, and lead in a project team environment.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English, including strong presentation skills to senior leadership and external audiences.
  • Pioneer mindset, self-starter, capable of significant autonomy, can create structure within ambiguity.
  • Proven strong interpersonal and communication skills to develop new external stakeholder relationships to explore partnership opportunities with Cook Medical and understanding their needs
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office with advanced Excel skills in modelling and analysis.
  • You are willing to travel, primarily within the EU.
