  • Overview

    We are seeking a skilled Reimbursement Manager to provide leadership and management to our team of six reimbursement experts across Europe. This position will offer you a unique opportunity to shape the future direction of Cook’s reimbursement and market access strategy and activities.

    The team deals with healthcare reimbursement and market access of medical devices by managing projects that support patient access and the commercialization of current or future Cook technologies, typically through reimbursement submissions. Further, the team provides reimbursement guidance to internal/external customers and offers training to relevant staff on reimbursement and market access.

    Preferably you will be based at the Cook facility in either Bjæverskov (Denmark) or Limerick (Ireland), however, this is not a requirement.


    Your essential functions and responsibilities are:

    • Managing the European Reimbursement Team
    • Developing and maintaining an in depth understanding of the reimbursement and market access systems as well as healthcare policy issues in the major European markets
    • Contributing to strategy development for reimbursement and market access activities in Europe and working with internal stakeholders to align activities and goals
    • Overseeing reimbursement applications and reimbursement assessment of new technologies
    • Coordinating reimbursement-related customer support
    • Organizing reimbursement training of relevant staff
    • Working with all relevant stakeholders in the healthcare sector and being an active member in trade associations and other important groups.


    To be successful in this position, you have a strong health economic understanding and have previously worked with reimbursement in Europe. You are business driven and have demonstrated leadership qualities with proven track record of successfully motivating cross-functional teams as well as the power to drive the team towards new challenges.

    Besides, you have the following qualifications:

    • Advanced graduate degree (Ph. D. or Master's Degree) in Healthcare Management, Healthcare Policy, Health Economics, or related branch of study
    • Minimum of 5+ years of work experience in Reimbursement, Market Access, Health Economics, or related field
    • Strong problem-solving skills, with proven ability to work well under pressure
    • Excellent communication (English verbal and written) and interpersonal skills
    • Strong presentation skills
    • Structured and systematic approach to tasks
    • Good understanding of the medical device market and the various European healthcare systems
