  • Overview

    To support the marketing division for the Endoscopy speciality in Europe. This role collaborates with the European Marketing Specialist of the Endoscopy team. Using a blend of creative skills, customer insights and communication skills the Marketing Assistant will strive to develop marketing opportunities in Europe focussing on Events and Digital Marketing.

    Responsibilities

    • Provide input and guidance on key internal and external events, working with the Events team, the teams in Europe and internationally and external Cook partners.
    • Assist with the marketing communications process for the division, ensuring all tasks are clearly defined and completed within given timelines. Continuously work to improve this process.
    • Develop and strengthen the digital presence of the SBU within the Cook framework by rolling out digital plans.
    • Manage the day-to-day running of several online platforms including web presence and social media.
    • Continuously drive the improvement of the SBU presence on the Cook Website and other Communication Channels and promote European content.
    • Collaborate with and take direction from European Marketing Specialist to solve market specific problems in Europe.
    • Give input into communication briefs by gathering information and data to clarify European marketing issues - helping develop direction for execution.
    • Perform tasks necessary to complete performance objectives or other duties assigned by immediate supervisor as well assisting team members as needed.
    • Maintain the high-valued and premium quality of the Cook Medical brands - equal to that of Cook products.
    • Ensure that Cook’s Code of Conduct is considered in all business matters carried out on Cook’s behalf.

    Qualifications

    • Third level education with a formal qualification in marketing and/or equivalent marketing experience.
    • Previous experience with medical device preferred.
    • Proficient in Microsoft Office and some creative programs such as Adobe products preferred.
    • The position is located at the Cook plant in Limerick and successful candidate will be expected to live within commuting distance of the plant.
    • Ability to form strong inter-personal relationships with colleagues throughout Europe and the U.S.
    • Ability to work constructively in a matrix organisation.
    • Willingness and availability to travel on company business.
    • Proven problem solving skills.
    • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
    • A second or third European language other than English is advantageous.
