  • Overview

    Work collaboratively with the Operations Coordinator to ensure that daily operations of their team(s) run effectively with a primary focus on planning and coordinating the daily workload within the team. The scope of this role ranges from work load management to relevant HR related responsibilities.

    • As well as maintaining Tenders & Pricing duties, the following responsibilities will be part of this role:
    • Daily monitoring of work deadlines.
    • Attend regular meetings with Supervisor and other team leaders within Tenders & Pricing.
    • Act as a point of reference for the team for queries & escalation.
    • Act as a point of reference for new starters.
    • Complete and co-ordinate training and cross-training for team as required.
    • Assist the Supervisor to identify additional training needs for the development of staff.
    • Become the process expert for Tenders & Pricing per country, including new initiatives & the public code for Tenders.
    • Generate and update procedures in line with Quality System as required.
    • Maintain & control legal documents relevant to tenders applications per country.
    • Maintain records of expenses relevant to Tenders eg. Notary, Translation, Certificates, Messengers and Telegrams etc.
    • Follow up on sample & literature orders for Tenders & escalate any issues to the Supervisor as necessary.
    • Review and follow up on tracking list for registered postage & air courier to ensure on time delivery of tender, identify any problems & escalate to the Supervisor as necessary.
    • Ensure the tenders & pricing archive is accurately maintained.
    • Record & analyse complaints and assist the Supervisor to develop preventative actions.
    • Assist the Supervisor to compile metrics relevant for Tenders & Pricing on a weekly basis, maintaining open feedback on all issues.
    • Monitor KPIs and implement quality initiatives in conjunction with the Quality Co-ordinator.
    • Act as designee in relation to the SSC Quality Management system and SSC Business process management system.
    • Maintain and update software packages, e.g. Symposium, FIDES, Query log, as required.
    • Ensure that the Cook brand and image is communicated in a positive and consistent manner to all customers, both external and internal.
    • Ensure that all duties are carried out in compliance with the company’s Quality Management System.
    • Ensure that Cook’s Code of Conduct is considered in all business matters carried out on Cook’s behalf.


    • Experience of working with Pricing, Tenders & Public Procurement.
    • Strong knowledge of the current Tenders & Pricing processes within Cook an advantage.
    • Legal or Business qualification would be an advantage.
    • Previous experience working in a team leader role would be an advantage.
    • Fluency in two European languages at a business level, including English.
    • Computer literacy: Good working knowledge of Microsoft office; Experience of Tenders & Pricing Software an advantage.
    • Demonstrate strong leadership capabilities.
    • Proven track record in problem solving.
    • Ability to work under pressure & to tight deadlines.
    • Good knowledge & understanding of the legal system & public code (European Directive).
    • Ability to communicate effectively on an individual and group basis.
    • Excellent organisational and prioritisation skills.
    • Strong customer focus (Internal & External).
    • Self starter and high self motivation.
    • Ability to multitask.
    • Attention to detail, with clerical speed & accuracy.
    • Strong comprehension/verbal reasoning skills.
    • Willingness and availability to travel on company business.
    • Flexible start time to accommodate European time zones.
