  • Overview

    To ensure Cooks success in a highly competitive medical device field, it is necessary that we understand all aspects of health care in the markets in which we compete. This includes understanding how our hospital and physician customers are reimbursed for the service they provide. To build our capabilities in this area, we are looking for a well-qualified and engaged employee for our European Reimbursement Team.

    You will be a key player in a qualified team who are taking care of hospital and physician reimbursement issues across Europe. Your main focus will be on the UK.


    • Develop an unsurpassed understanding of the reimbursement systems – inpatient and outpatient
    • Serve as the primary source of reimbursement support for the sales divisions and customers
    • Oversee reimbursement applications and facilitate the successful reimbursement of Cook technologies in UK
    • Investigate and contribute to the development of new business opportunities 
    • Develop economic /value position and communication strategy relevant to the specific health system of interest and policy drivers. Communicate the value messaging through bespoke business cases, value tools and other tools to support business and reimbursement discussions with local decision makers.
    • Stay updated on health technology assessments (HTA), clinical guidelines and country specific regulations
    • Draw attention to general policy issues
    • Be a strategic partner to local business managers in support of commercial objectives
    • Work with the relevant KOLs, medical societies, trade associations and other key national and regional stakeholders
    • Provide input to Cook sponsored clinical and health economic assessments



    • Previous reimbursement and market access experience within a pharmaceutical or medical device company preferred.
    • Third level degree in business related field and or equivalent experience desired.
    • A background in health economics or health care management desired.
    • Be familiar with hospital reimbursement systems and have a strong interest in medicine.
    • Previous experience in governmental healthcare administration and/or in hospital administration.
    • Excellent oral and written communication skills in English.
    • You are willing to travel, primarily within the EU.
