  • Overview

    The primary function of this role is to support Cook in effectively managing nominated Disruptive and Premium Accounts and to support tactical non premium accounts within the territory.

    • Develop a thorough knowledge and understanding of the business strategy and challenges of relevant customers,
    • Manage key strategic relationships with relevant customers / contacts, including catalogue managers, buyers and finance teams, in order to build opportunities to reduce operational costs on all sides through efficient operations and commercial strategies
    • Conduct business reviews with key contacts.
    • Understand the tools and solutions available to support their business and their practical application in the market, and utilise this knowledge to recommend and implement successful solutions
    • Provide tactical support for supply chain related functions
    • Assist CAE with customer queries, sales reports, impact analysis, coordination of account intelligence and contracts
    • Work closely with the relevant contacts within the European Shared Service Centre (ESSC) to prioritize and implement business / process changes necessary to continue to support customer account alignment.
    • Assist in training with the SBU’s to encourage a proactive approach to pricing through a strategic and tactical business model.
    • Commercial model design & collaborative work with HBS, SBU, SSC. Ensuring models are simple, manageable & innovative
    • Support to other HBS/CAE regions as required
    • Mentorship of fellow peers and new team members to upskill as required
    • Complete Training and continuous learning in the areas of Business Objects report writing and related infrastructure.
    • Develop familiarity and competencies with associated Cook Medical Support Systems & Applications.
    • Complete training on all key roles within Commercial Business Support.
    • Participate in local & global projects as required.
    • Participate in HBS and /or SBU meetings as required.
    • Work with the SBUs, Key Account Managers, Corporate Tender Executives, Corporate Account Managers and Corporate Account Executives to ensure tenders, GPO contracts are processed within the set deadlines.
    • Work with other departments within Cook globally to gather information relevant for the tender – e.g. Customer Service, Finance, Marketing, Manufacturing, Regulatory, Logistics etc.
    • Submit the Tenders/GPO contracts in accordance with specific customer requirements.
    • Ensure that Cook’s Code of Conduct is considered in all business matters carried out on Cook’s behalf.


    • Relevant business degree or equivalent would be advantageous.
    • Minimum of 3 years experience of supporting medical customer accounts and sales functions
    • Knowledge of Hospital Materials Management procurement, inventory and contracting processes preferred
    • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office essential, particularly Excel and PowerPoint, and a knowledge of Business Objects or similar reporting tool advantageous
    • Strong written and verbal communications skills with a demonstrable ability to collate information into well organized plans, proposals and presentations
    • Excellent interpersonal skills with the proven ability to interact successfully at all levels within an organization
    • Demonstrable self drive and motivation with the ability to work alone or successfully in a team.
    • Availability and willingness to travel as required
    • Current driving license.
