As our new Manager for Maintenance & Equipment you will be head of 4 teams: Maintenance and Equipment Support, Equipment, Reliability and Support, ToolShop and Calibration. You will refer to Director of Manufacturing Engineering and be part of an ambitious management team.  

 

The team
The team members work in different areas of maintenance of machinery and tools. The team members are driven by the ever-changing manufacturing pace, strive to ensure a high-quality mindset and enjoy a great team spirit. The team has expert knowledge of GMP requirements, maintenance and equipment knowledge.

Responsibilities

The position
The purpose of this position is to be a people leader providing the necessary sparring and development of employees with an engaging and motivating leadership style. Your technical background will enable you to set the direction for projects, tasks, solutions, and the daily operation of the department. Key elements of the position are:

 

  • Be a clear and inspiring leader: recruit, train, develop and evaluate the maintenance team, providing active and visible leadership in line with WCE’s culture and leadership principles
  • Develop and implement strategies for optimal use and maintenance of equipment, including introducing TPM to reduce the risk of breakdowns.
  • Ensure the best possible planning of daily maintenance tasks and the provision of tools to drive efficiency and continuous care.
  • Identify and resolve technical problems to minimize operational disturbances.
  • Ensure effective management of critical spare parts and materials, and maintain trending of maintenance activities, equipment status and performance.
  • Ensure documentation of all maintenance activities in the EAM at equipment level, including evaluation of maintenance needs.
  • Ensure full compliance with the applicable QMS, including handling of CAPAs and NCs.
  • Continuously evaluate and improve maintenance procedures and systems, and implement new technologies and methods to optimize maintenance processes.
  • Coordinate with other departments to ensure minimal downtime and maximum productivity.
  • Implement and transform maintenance into Total Productive Maintenance through a structured approach to developing employees, teams and processes.
  • Develop a Lean approach within the department and implement the appropriate structures to ensure follow-up, structured problem solving and trending.

  • +5 years managerial experience in a similar position
  • Relevant experience from Medico, Pharma or Biotech manufacturing industry
  • Build strong purpose, see potential, and develop people.
  • Analytic and data driven capable of translating complexity into clear direction.
  • Effective communication skills in Danish and English
  • Interpersonal skills, social, and emotional intelligence
  • LEAN/continuous improvement mindset
