Overview

Join Cook Medical and be our new colleague in an R&D team of project managers, engineers, and technicians. We work close together on projects in an informal environment with focus on the task and project.

 

Our key task is the development of Class 3 Medical Devices for treatment of patients with blood vessel constrictions (PAD-products) and patients in risk of having blood clots (Pulmonary Embolism).

 

You will be involved in projects combining engineering disciplines and project coordination requiring physiological, clinical, and regulatory understanding. All in close cooperation with colleagues in Denmark, Ireland, and USA.

Responsibilities

We are looking for a senior engineer who wants to use both experience and background actively in our developing projects. You thrive in working independently on specific tasks as part of a team contributing to our common goals. Using your experience, you also share knowledge with your colleagues bringing forward innovative solutions. You are part of our project teams, and you influence and set direction based on your knowledge and experience. We work interdisciplinary and you will get the opportunity to use your project managing skills coordinating across the organization, both locally and globally with Marketing, Regulatory Affairs, Quality Engineering and Production.

 

Key tasks in your new role:

  • Developing and evaluating products, technologies, and concepts
  • Preparing the necessary product documentation – e.g., requirement specifications, test plans and risk analysis
  • Designing and performing practical tests
  • Securing product quality by preparing product requirements
  • Participating in the innovative environment, such as the patent portfolio
  • Engage in interdisciplinary teamwork, joint problem solving and share knowledge in the teams, locally and globally
  • Developing and continuously improving our processes

Qualifications

You will get to use your experience, technical understanding, and your professional curiosity, and contribute to new ideas as well as solutions that develop products and processes. You have a structured and analytical attitude towards your projects and a thorough sense of quality, and you communicate in English without difficulties.

 

In addition to this we imagine that you:  

  • Have an engineering degree or similar – e.g., in medicine/technology, mechanics, chemistry
  • Have experience with development of Medical Devices including design control, design verification, and risk management
  • Are eager to use your engineering experience in the development of Medical Devices
  • Are motivated by technical challenges and problem solving
  • Have the inclination and the ability to share knowledge
