The Senior Accountant will have overall accounting responsibility for multiple European entities. A portion of their role will include processing Accounts payable invoices and payments.
Responsibilities
Overall accounting responsibility for one or multiple Cook Medical legal entities.
Manage month end close and be responsible for the P&L and Balance Sheet of these entities.
Liaise with auditors for yearend close.
Close teamwork with external advisors and other finance teams to ensure statutory and tax reporting is completed accurately and on time.
Process Accounts Payable (AP) invoices, payments and other standard AP tasks for an entity.
Ensure AP invoices have appropriate approvals.
Reconciliation and review of the vendor ledger and AP bank account at month end.
Initiate and lead Continuous improvement activities
Support Global General Ledger Manager with ad hoc projects/analysis or tasks as required.
Ensure that Cook’s Code of Conduct is considered with in all business matters carried out on Cook’s behalf.
Qualifications
Degree educated and Accounting qualification required (ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent).
3-5 years post qualification experience.
Experience working in a multi-national corporation environment beneficial.
Previously trained within a Top 10 or Big 4 firm up to manager level, advantageous.
ERP system implementation experience a strong advantage.
EMEA Statutory Accounting Expertise.
Track record of Continuous Improvement.
Ability to work independently and self-manage various projects simultaneously.
Strong communication, interpersonal, influencing and cross-functional teamwork skills.
Fluency in one or more European languages (other than English) an advantage.
Willingness and availability to travel on company business.
